We are looking for an Electoral Services Manager with excellent project management skills and management experience to provide operational and strategic leadership to Richmond’s Electoral Services team.
You will be responsible for providing an effective, high quality and compliant electoral service; be accountable for the delivery of electoral registration, and for the organisation of all elections and referenda in the area. You will provide professional advice to the Returning Officer, elected members and political parties, and you will work in partnership to increase public awareness and participation in the democratic process.
Customer focused and performance driven, you have a professional track record in a local authority environment, together with experience in the conduct of elections and the electoral registration process.
Preferably a member of the Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA) with the AEA Certificate in Electoral Administration, you will have an in depth knowledge of electoral legislation and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
You must be self-motivated, and able to deliver strong results under pressure.
During elections periods you will be expected to work additional hours which will include evenings and weekends
