Work with disabled children and young people supporting them
to have fun locally around Richmond?
The Short Break Care Team support children with disabilities in lots of different clubs and settings including at weekends, school holidays, after-school, overnight or in the evening.
We are seeking staff experienced in supporting children or people with a disability who are available to work at a range of times and venues. You would help children engage in play, develop independence skills as well as support them to make and maintain friendships. Activities might include bowling, swimming, art, theatre or cultural trips.
You could support individual children in the community or in their own homes for regular 1:1 sessions as well as work with other staff supporting children in groups. In addition we are seeking Team leaders to oversee children’s welfare and staff during activities.
