The Parking Service has recently undergone a restructure following the transfer of a number of back office duties to our Customer Contact Centre, and significant investment in our website to allow increased customer self service. Richmond is now seeking to recruit an exceptional individual to take service improvement to an even higher level.
Richmond works in partnership with Vinci Parking Services who deliver the enforcement operations. The Council prides itself on having a ‘Fair Approach’ to Parking Enforcement and having a strong customer focus with the Enforcement Officers acting as ambassadors for the authority.
We have an in house team carrying out notice processing and payment of penalty charge notices along with teams dealing with Permit Administration and infrastructure support;
The individual appointed will report directly to the Assistant Director for Environment and will be responsible for an in-house team comprising 19 staff and be responsible for contract delivery by Vinci.
You will need to demonstrate suitable and relevant experience including the management of staff, a detailed understanding of parking legislation and contract management. Importantly you will need to excel in ‘Customer Service’ and have excellent communication skills.
