The Children’s Centre network in Richmond has rapidly established itself as a key component of the borough’s strategy to support children and families. With a strong focus on prevention and early identification, Children's Centres deliver a programme of services and activites to provide parents with the support they need to develop as stable, resilient and healthy families. We have eight Children’s Centres across the borough and an opportunity has arisen for a talented and committed Children's Centre Outreach Worker to provide family support services from our new purpose built Children's Centre situated at Stanley Primary School in Teddington. The Centre is currently under construction and will be available from September 2012.
We are looking for candidates with experience of working to support children and families, especially those families that may be considered vulnerable or at risk of poor outcomes. As well as providing direct support to families, the Outreach Worker will also deliver a range of Centre based activities as well as running extensive outreach programmes from linked, neighbourhood locations. The post is primarily based at Stanley Children & Family Centre but will require some travel across the borough.
